Jicama is very high in dietary fiber, making it beneficial for individuals who suffer from intestinal irregularity. Additionally, it is very high in vitamin C which, combined with the high levels of vitamin C found in the strawberries and lemon, help support a healthy immune system to protect the body from bacterial, viral, fungal, or pathogenic diseases. The high levels of potassium in the jicama, which plays a role in the management of blood pressure, combined with the significant copper and iron, which are critical to allow red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body, make this root vegetable a great dietary addition for circulatory health and individuals suffering from anemia.
